WELCOME TO PRAKRITI THE RETREAT

Good To Know

  • Being at a high altitude and remote Himalayan Range, the area is prone to weak/zero mobile phone connectivity. BSNL service works better than others.
  • Internet connectivity is not available, so please be prepared to be digitally cut off.
  • Power backup, in case of power outages, is available for limited hours every morning and evening (3 hrs each).
  • We do not offer tea/coffee maker in rooms but only electric kettles for warm drinking water. Ask for freshly prepared tea/ coffee from our kitchen from 7am to 10pm.
  • Some dishes in the Menu have seasonal availability and therefore may not always be available.
  • Buffet meals are available based on occupancy levels on any given day. Buffet timings are fixed and we urge guests to cooperate in order to serve everyone in the best possible way.
  • We stock limited number of packaged water bottles , however we encourage guests to consume the natural water that we provide at the hotel. It’s tastier, healthier, environment friendly and it’s FREE.
  • Rights to admissions are reserved by hotel manager. Unruly behaviour, verbal abuse, nuisance to other guests cannot be tolerated and guests posing these would be asked to check-out.
  • Tourist traffic during peak summer seasons/ unexpected showers can delay travel times, therefore its best to keep your itinerary flexible.
  • The check post at Bhatwari (usually) does not allow vehicles to cross over beyond 8pm. Bhatwari is at a distance of 20kms from Uttarkashi en route Prakriti. Please plan your travel accordingly. Your local cab driver should be able to guide you in this regard.
  • Road travel in the mountains can be exhausting. Carry on at a pace that allows you to enjoy the journey. Once at the destination, give yourself time to relax and slow down before setting out for the next leg of road travel.
  • Lastly, use and dispose off waste responsibly. Mountains are vulnerable to pollution of all kinds. Do your bit by minimising usage of non-biodegradable waste during your time in the Himalayas.
