Trekking & Gartang Gali

One of the most thrilling and exciting treks in Ut tarkashi district of Uttarakhand is Gartang Gali. It recently opened for visitors and tourists in 2021 after 59 years. Located in the picturesque Nelong Valley near the India-China border. The 150-year-old Gartang Gali is a 136-metre-long wooden lined staircase. This route was traditionally used by merchants conducting trade between India and Tibet. Hanging from a rocky ledge, it overlooks the picturesque Nelong Valley. and the flora and fauna. It is a n easy trek of about 2.5 km through dense forests to Gartang Gali. A must visit for Nature Lovers

The Harsil-Dharali belt is a major Apple-producing region in the country. During the full bloom season (around late September), you can witness the gorgeous apple tree orchards in the area.
